Honoring the Memory of Ananda M. Chakrabarty

AMC Bio is named in memory of science mentor, Ananda M. Chakrabarty (4 April 1938 – 10 July 2020), world renowned scientist whose groundbreaking work with bacterial proteins helped launch the global biotech revolution. Fast forward to 2025 and microbiome R&D has progressed with focus on GI and skin pathologies. AMC Bio believes that this only scratches the surface, so to speak. Microbial biofilms play a critical role to defend against intruders and interfere in multiple pathways, disrupting key steps in disease progression, and may make ideal drug candidates.

AMC Bio’s therapeutic drug candidates benefit from 3 billion years of microbial evolutionary wisdom to keep pathogens in check.
